3 Wedding Décor Categories You Might Be Overlooking

When it comes to planning your wedding, you want to make sure that you’re taking care of every last detail to ensure that the big day goes off without a hitch. From the food to the music to the venue and more, you want your wedding day to be perfect in every way. But what about wedding décor? If you’re not careful, you can easily overlook some of the most important decorations that you need. Here are three common categories of wedding rental decorations that you might be overlooking – and how to incorporate them accordingly!

Arches

Arches are all about highlighting your walk down the aisle on your big day, which is such a romantic idea. Arches can be made of fabric or wood and can have simple draping or greenery and florals for a more natural feel. Arches have become increasingly popular in recent years, as they can provide a unique backdrop for your vows or behind the head table. They can also be used as the entrance for your aisle.

Seating Chart Décor

Wedding decorations can set the right mood.

While it’s not on many newlyweds’ radars, seating chart décor is one of those wedding categories that you shouldn’t overlook. As a matter of fact, don’t just think about your seating chart; think about your guest book and even menus, as well.  If you want to make sure all these pieces are cohesive with each other, it can be helpful to use a color scheme or theme throughout. For example, if your wedding color palette is soft pink and green, then choose a theme such as nature or fairy tale for your seating chart décor (think flower petals, leaves or vines). Then apply similar themes to other pieces in order to tie everything together. The more cohesive everything looks from place card to menu cover page, the more amazing everything will look in pictures!

Lounge Décor

If you’re going for a traditional sit-down dinner, it might be easy to overlook your lounge areas and décor. But, while people are socializing before or after dinner, or dancing after dinner and dessert, they’ll definitely appreciate lounge areas. Arrange furniture into cozy conversation areas around your venue. Or, if you have an outdoor wedding, think about how you can make use of natural seating like trees or boulders as part of a lounge area. Add pillows and blankets that match your color scheme to give guests somewhere comfortable to rest their feet. Consider setting up charging stations with outlets in these areas so guests can recharge their phones throughout the night. These unique touches will leave a lasting impression.
