Bring in 2017 with a bang!

We have some great ideas that may also help you make this special day into a memorable time with friends and family:

Consider special lighting

Dim the lights and fill your house with candles. They are the most cost-efficient and romantic way to create a charming and festive atmosphere! Also, you can buy some pink bulbs and swap them into your lamps for the night; you will love the difference they make in the atmosphere.

Party giveaways

Even if it seems silly, people still love traditional New Year’s Eve details such as feather boas, hats, noisemakers, tiaras, and horns. Get some and put them on a platter or decorative bowl and let people grab them as they wish. You’ll love seeing all the selfies!

Speaking of selfies…

Give your party a special hashtag and make sure your guests know about it! This groups together all the photos taken at your soiree so you can see them in one place.

Special drinks and food

Serve a specialty drink like a cocktail at the beginning of the party and champagne for midnight. Also, be sure to provide the non-alcoholic options like soda and infused water.

For your menu, we recommend a variety of light snacks during the evening. Some good options are chips with salsa, mini pizzas, pretzels, cheeses, and veggies with dip. Later on, set up a buffet with danishes, casseroles, and fruit; it is a healthy and delicious way to start the new year. New Year’s celebrations tend to be long and end early in the morning, so having breakfast options on the menu is always a great plus.
